South Africans will be able to know all about Bafana Bafana details of their up and coming fixtures following draw over the weekend.
Bafana Bafana found out over the weekend who they will face in the Africa Cup of Nations group stages, and now they know all the other details about their upcoming clashes.
Baxter has said that they won’t be going to make up numbers and spoke of Bafana’s better performances when going up against bigger opposition.
It is something that could bode well against the Atlas Lions and The Elephants as they look for a spot in the Round of 16.
Bafana will get their tournament underway against the Ivory Coast on June 24, before taking on neighbours, Namibia, a few days later on June 28. The final game, which could be decisive, will see Baxter’s side go up against Morocco on July 1 as the group comes to a close.
Luckily for Baxter, all three of their games will be played at the same stadium, Al Salam in Cairo, which seats 30,000 people and will also play host to one Round of 16 game, one quarter-final and also the third/fourth-place play-off.
Should the South African side win Group D then they will go up against one of the best third-placed sides, while a second place finish will see them take on either Tunisia, Mali, Mauritania or Angola.
A best third-place throws up many different options with regards to potential opposition.
