Micho planning ahead to dethrone Sundowns

Orlando Pirates Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic plans ahead of the coming season and on how to dethrone the current Absa premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Orlando pirates came second in the biggest championship in south African football. This is the second season pirates fails to take home the prize instead they become the runners-up to mamelodi Sundowns which had one of the best seasons reaching CAF semi-finals and winning the home league.

Despite Orlando Pirates playing so well the entire season with a good number of goals, it is crystal clear that the team need to undergo some changes that can make them up their game if they are to dethrone mamelodi Sundowns.

“The biggest shortcoming was that we had far too many draws. Twelve draws is too much It’s very simple, we need to concede less than 20 goals in a season and this needs to be strategical target. We conceded 24,” Said Orlando Pirates Coach when asked what was his opinion of the season they had.

“We need to score more than 50 and we scored 44. It means we need to lift on one side and reduce on the other side. We need to have a perfect balance of defending and attack, but in between a platform needs to be made for creative build-up,” Micho told reporters after the PSL awards in Durban on Sunday night.

Micho, like any other coach under pressure is determined to make sure that they come prepared for the next season as they are targeting the title and will stop at nothing to win it. Micho’s team have displayed a very tremendous football which got people like Sundowns’ Pitso Mosimane praising some of Micho’s playing Skills.
