The coach handed in his resignation letter to the club on Thursday after escaping relegation in the 2018/19 season.

Kerr joined the Venda giants from Gor Mahia in December, the coach said that he needs some time off before he can consider talking about his resignation at Black Leopards.

“Yes I’m leaving,” Kerr tells this publication. “But I’m not telling you yet [why I left], let’s leave it for now. I don’t want to say anything yet. [But] I resigned, it’s all I have to say.”

When he was questioned about his future, the British tactician said: “I honestly don’t know what will happen.

“Let me have a couple of days, my mom is in hospital so I’m going to have to deal with that. I’m in England at the moment, my mom is my priority at the moment. You only have one mother.

“I will let you know as soon as I get everything sorted. I want to see enough of my mom and make it as comfortable as anything.”

Kerr, who won the December and January Coach of the Month had signed a three-and-a-half year contract with Lidoda Duvha and, according to reports, it is believed that he left because “circumstances were not favorable”.
