After the swearing in of MPL’s on Wednesday, the Democratic Alliance welcomed it’s new caucus team for the 6th administration of the Kwa-Zulu Natal.
The DA support base in KZN increased from 12.76% to 13.9%, increasing it’s number of chairs in the KZN Legislature to 11.
KZN DA leader Zwakele Mncwango says the party will apply a new approach when it comes to its conduct in the KZN Legislature, he said unlike before, they would provide solutions and alternatives during the debates.
“The new approach is about finding solutions as opposed to focusing on the ANC. We will be innovative when it comes to the economy, fighting crime and dealing with other issues facing the citizens of the province,” the DA leader emphasised.
The DA’s new KZN Legislature Caucus includes:
Zwakele Mncwango, MPL who returns as Caucus Leader and DA KZN Spokesperson on Office of the Premier and Royal Household
Francois Rodgers, MPL who returns as Caucus Chief Whip and DA KZN Spokesperson on Finance and Scopa
Mbali Ntuli, MPL who returns to the Caucus as DA KZN Spokesperson on Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA). This after an a year’s absence while fulfilling the role of DA Provincial Campaigns Director ahead of the national election
Dr Rishigen Viranna, MPL who returns to the Caucus as DA KZN Spokesperson on Health
Dr Imran Keeka, MPL who returns to the Caucus as DA KZN Spokesperson on Education
Former DA Ethekwini Councillor, Chris Pappas, MPL who joins the Caucus as DA KZN Spokesperson on Agriculture
Former DA Ethekwini Councillor and Exco Member, Heinz de Boer MPL who joins the Caucus as DA KZN Spokesperson on Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs
