Amakhosi have had a torrid time in 2018/19 season, with recent loss to National First Division side TS Galaxy in the Ned-bank Cup Final weeks ago.

It was their fourth consecutive without a trophy, and left many Kaizer Chiefs biting their nails in frustrations.

Tovey believes Amakhosi coach Ernst Middendorp isn’t to blame in this crisis though he had to take responsibility for some decisions.

He added, ” its not his entire fault, he has inherited a team that he couldn’t change okay.”

“You need to look at other areas, the management, and not him. I’m talking about the upper level and then the players themselves.”

According to Sport24, Tovey said that they are recruited by people that might not have an understanding about the game, they need to take a look at themselves.

I haven’t seen every game so I can only see by the results of Chiefs, and results of Pirates and results of Sundowns, Pirates are far ahead of Chiefs, and Sundowns are further ahead of Pirates.

Tovey, the team is far from being where it used to be, the players needs to look at themselves first and the second, are people who are in charge of recruitment.

The coach needs to have a different attitude as well, he looks too sad. Middendorp needs to look at himself in the mirror first and foremost and be happy. He needs to instill a little bit of hope.
