Former minister of Labour Mildred Oliphant has finally tendered her resignation as a member of parliament.
The office of the ANC’s Chief whip confirmed her resignations on Thursday.
Oliphant’s resignations was expected, given the fact that all former ministers resigned since the start of the week.
The former minister Oliphant joins the likes of Derek Hanekom, Siyabonga Cwele and Jeff Radebe who resigned as members of parliament.
Oliphant failed to make the cut into President Cyril Ramaphosa’s new cabinet last month.
It remains to be seen where Oliphant will be deployed by the ruling party.
