Bafana Bafana legend Quinton Fortune earmarked for Man Utd youth assistant role

English Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly set to announce Neil Wood and former Bafana Bafana midfielder Quinton Fortune as the men to take charge of the club’s Under-23 team.

Fortune made 126 appearances for the club between 1999 and 2005 and will be Wood's assistant

The Red Devils are currently busy with a drive towards appointing former players in key positions, with Wood and Fortune the latest pair set to be handed the reigns of leading the club’s youth team.

Ricky Sbragia, who was in charge of Under-23 management team, left in May, and Wood, who came through United’s academy will take over as head coach while Fortune will serve as his assistant.

According to the Telegraph, the pair are likely to be announced sometime this week as part of that restructuring.
