BMW is clearly not keen on the idea of an X7 M, however, the folks at Alpina are busy readying a much faster seven-seat X7 SUV.
Alpina is readying a BMW X7-based model with more than 440kW, according to new a report by Car Advice.
According to Alpina’s boss, the firm is working on a seven-seat XB7, potentially with power from the same engine used in the 7 Series-based B7. If the report is accurate, the XB7 will lurk a twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 engine that churns out 447 kW of power and 900 Nm of torque.
Locally, the most powerful X7 is the M50i xDrive with 390 kW/750 Nm and it dashes from 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds.
