South African tennis ace Kgothatso Montjane has progressed into the Wimbledon semi-finals after beating German leading wheelchair player Sabine Ellerbrock 6-7 6-1 6-2 on Thursday at the England Club.
This is Montjane’s second appearance at Wimbledon, and the Seshego-based worked hard to thrash the tough two-times champion after the two met 23 times on the UNIQLO wheelchair tennis tour, with Montjane winning just seven.
Montjane will go on to meet up with Dutch world number 1 Diede de Groot in the semi-final round.
