Zuma withdraws decision to ditch Zondo Commission

Former President Jacob Zuma will head back to the Zondo commission of inquiry into state capture allegations after his lawyer Muzi Sikhakhane announced that he’ll no longer take part in the proceeding earlier on Friday.

On Friday, the proceedings adjourned for a short period to allow for Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo to meet with the Zuma’s and the commission’s legal team.

“The decision that the former president would no longer participate in the proceedings is withdrawn,” said Zondo.

Mkwebane finds Ramaphosa “deliberately misled the National Assembly”

Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane has found that President Cyril Ramaphosa has violated his executive ethics code.

Mkhwebane delivered the long-awaited Bosasa report on Friday which found the President on the wrong. “President Ramaphosa deliberately misled the National Assembly and thereby acted in violation of the provisions of the executive ethics code,” Mkwebane said.

Bosasa, which trade by the new name African Global Operations donated R50000 to Ramaphosa during his ANC’s presidential campaign in 2017.

Mzansi reacts to Busiswa & Moonchild’s Beyoncé collaboration

Mzansi is very proud of Busiswa and Moonchild after working with the world’s best Beyoncé Knowles. The pair were the highlight of the whole song.

Beyoncé just released the album The Gift on Friday and South African couldn’t wait to hear their very own talent.

Mzansi was impressed after hearing the track My Power which featured the two SA queens.

Khune ruled out of Carling Black Label Cup

Kaizer Chiefs’ second most voted player in this year’s edition of the Carling Black Label Cup, Itumeleng Khune, has been ruled out of the highly-anticipated pre-season Soweto Derby clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates on Saturday, July 27.

This could be a major setback for Amakhosi supporters who were hoping to see Khune back in action after he suffered a shoulder injury that saw him miss half of last season, and is yet to be declared fit.

Chiefs released a statement regarding the goalkeeper, who is also already ruled out of their upcoming friendly match against reigning Botswana champions Township Rollers.
