Zondo sets the record straight

Chief Justice Raymond Zondo set the record straight on Friday over Former President Jacob Zuma’s appearance before the Zondo commission of inquiry into state capture.

This comes after the commission’s evidence leader Paul Pretorius received backlash from both Zuma and his legal team over his line of questioning with the commission also under fire for summoning Zuma under “false pretences” according to Zuma’s legal team.

“The decision to ask the former president to appear before the commission this week was my decision and my decision alone. I, therefore, do not want Mr Pretorious or the commission’s legal team to be criticised for a decision they did not make,” said Zondo.
