Micho responds to Khuzwayo’s CBL snub

Orlando Pirates head coach Milutin Sredojevic appeared reserved when responding to questions regarding goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo’s Carling Black Label snub, following recent speculations that the shot-stopper was set for an exit.

The 29-year-old was part of the starting 11 for the Carling Black Label Soweto Derby with the most votes, however, Pirates made a u-turn by excluding the player from the match-day squad.

When ‘Micho’ was asked reasons behind Khuzwayo’s snub, he played his cards very close to his chest, citing medical precautions, and restraining from saying much more on the matter.

“Due to precautionary measures, we needed to put Brilliant out of contention, and I will limit myself there because, as a coach, I have no right to cross the line towards medical aspects,” said the Serbian tactician, as quoted by KickOff.com.

Khuzwayo had to undergo surgery upon his arrival at Pirates after sustaining an injury while still at Chiefs, and is yet to feature for his new employers.
