Today started off on a very interesting note that got me thinking, well Peter Moyo’s story got me thinking this morning about how we force ourselves into situations/friendships/relationships that don’t serve us anymore. You see Old Mutual has refused for him to come back to work and he and his legal team are forcing his return, my feeling is why doesn’t he just leave, his employer doesn’t want him even if he comes back he will still be unwanted. Old Mutual refusing Peter Moyo to clock back at work

The legal team of Peter Moyo says that Old Mutual review application does not stop their client from resuming his duties.

Old Mutual is contesting the court decision for Moyo to be reinstated back into his office.

Moyo reported back to work on Wednesday, however, it seems that his employers are challenging his return back to work.

“If they want to suspend an interim order, they must go to court and get a court,” Eric Mabuza, Moyo’s lawyer said.

Maimane wants Ramaphosa to sell SAA in order to grow the economy

The Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Mmusi Maimane has called on President Cyril Ramaphosa to sell some of the state-owned entities (SOE).

The DA has been vocal that the government should sell underperforming SOEs such as South Africa Airways.

With the latest unemployment statistics on a record 29% high, Maimane believes selling off some of the SOEs will help grow the economy.

Calls for MKhwebane’s removal now in Justice committee’s hands

Mounting calls for Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane’s removal have now been referred to Justice portfolio committee.

Mkhwebane has been taking jabs in her recurring court appearances over a number of her reports.

“The situation as it stands now has to take place according to the rules of Parliament. According to those rules, the speaker of Parliament has referred the matter to the Justice Portfolio Committee. The matter will be dealt with according to the Constitution of the republic,” said Mathole Motshekga, Parliamentary Constitutional Review Committee chairperson.

Meet Eskom’s new CRO; Freeman Nomvalo

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the SA Institute of Chartered Accountants (Saica) Freeman Nomvalo is now Eskom’s Chief Restructuring Officer.

His appointment was announced by Public Enterprise Minister Pravin Gordhan during Eskom’s 2018/2019 financial year results announcement at Megawatt Park, Johannesburg, on Tuesday.

Outgoing CEO Phakamani Hadebe announced that Eskom incurred an R20.7 billion loss.

Phat Joe back on Radio 2000

After serving a two-week suspension, Phat Joe is back on Radio 2000 and fans of his breakfast show are ecstatic. The radio DJ was taken off air after offending listeners with his homophobic commentary at the beginning of July.

There was a large outcry from his biggest fans after SABC took strict measures against the controversial radio presenter after he was alleged to have shared homophobic thoughts during his breakfast show, Phat Joe and the Family.

Majota Khambule, the DJ’s real name, was commenting on another celebrity who was in hot water for her own homophobic commentary: Zodwa Wabantu.
