‘Micho’ responds to Pirates’ departure claims

Orlando Pirates head coach Milutin Sredojevic has responded to recent rumours that he is set to make an exit from the Mayfair outfit.

‘Micho’ has admitted that there are teams in and around Africa interested in his signature however, stated that he will only leave the Soweto giants once his services are no longer needed.

The 49-year-old also disclosed a number of countries from where he’s been approached, but also confirmed that he has turned them down.

“There are a lot of teams that are interested in me from Egypt, Sudan, Zambia, Morocco, and other places but I am a soldier employed by Pirates,” Sredojevic told the media, as quoted by Goal.com.

“I am loyal to my football father, [club chairman] Irvin Khoza. If anyone wants to talk to me they need to speak to him first. While I am here I will be loyal.

“I will always love any team that have given me a chance to coach.

“If I am moved from being the coach I will wear the supporters’ jersey and go sit with them in the stands, ” the Bucs mentor added.
