Tau reflects on his start at Brugge

From conquering Belgium’s Proximus League last season, to hitting the ground running at his new club in top-flight division, Percy Tau has been a revelation for Club Brugge with his silky runs and ‘cocky’ taken goals since his arrival.

The 25-year-old joined the Belgian giants at the beginning of the new campaign on a season-long loan from English Premier League outfit Brighton and Hove Albion, after taking the second division by storm last time out.

He has seamlessly introduced himself in style after notching up two goals in two appearances for the Black and Blue so far in the new period.

After finding the back of the net yet again this past weekend, the pint-sized Bafana Bafana striker reflected on his performance and adaptation.

“We really wanted to win against KV Ostend and managed to do so thanks to a strong collective performance.

“I am of course also happy with my goal. I wanted the ball quite a lot and created space for the others when having the ball, “Tau said to his club’s official website.

“In this way, we could be dangerous. I played at Union in 1B last season and still have to adapt myself a bit here but the teammates and coach are helping me a lot. I try to perform my tasks in the best possible way, “he added.

Tau will now be hoping to aid his charges progress to the next round when they travel to Ukraine to take on Dynamo Kiev, who they hold a slender 1-0 first leg advantage over, in the UEFA Champions League Qualifiers.
