KZN High school pupils warned after ‘smoke breaks’ demand

The KwaZulu-Natal Education Department has warned Roseville Secondary pupils against protests after reportedly demanding smoking area on school grounds.

The school was reportedly forced to shut down after the learners missed two exams and forced the shutdown.

The department says they won’t tolerate such behaviour in their schools.

Spokesperson Kwazi Mthethwa said: “We will not allow this in our schools. It was never going to happen and we’re happy that teaching has resumed.”
