Grobler has been in red-hot form for the Tshwane-based outfit, scoring three goals in two matches, including a brace against The Sea Robbers.

An initial offer is said to have been rejected by SuperSport after Kudakwashe Mahachi and Thamsanqa Gabuza joined Kaitano Tembo’s charges.

“They are not giving up. He is a player who was identified long ago by the technical team and management is working around the clock trying to make it happen before the transfer window closes next week,” the source told Phakaaathi.

“I heard they might be adding a player to their offer with one of their left-backs likely to be offered since SuperSport are a little thin in that department,” the source concluded.

The 31-year-old’s goalscoring prowess of late has seen him get a call-up to the Bafana Bafana squad for their friendly international against Zambia.
